Treating flat warts

Flat Warts

Flat warts are viral lesions that can appear anywhere on the body including the genital area (condylomatosis). Both flat warts and genital warts can be easily removed.

By acting on the water contained in the skin, the Fotona laser vaporises the tissue that needs to be removed. This results in the controlled removal of benign skin lesions without damaging healthy tissue, achieving a very satisfactory aesthetic result with minimal risk of scarring, as opposed to conventional surgery.

Wart removal treatment is very quick, taking only 5 to 10 minutes for each wart.

Thanks to the laser, warts can be removed from any area of the body in a single session with excellent results.

Our medical professionals will apply the laser technology to the skin surface area that needs to be treated, which will subsequently leave a small scab that disappears in approximately one week, depending on whether the treated area is exposed or not. Healing of non-exposed areas may take a little longer.

The patient will come in for a check-up after around 10-15 days. If the wart has not completely disappeared, the treatment will be repeated.

Posttreatment recommendations

The treated area must remain covered.

  • The area treated with the laser must be cleaned daily.
  • No sunbathing or exposure to ultraviolet rays after the first 15 days of treatment.
  • Use of factor 50 sun protection on the area that has been treated.
