Cliteroplasty

Cliteroplasty

One of the most frequently asked questions in our gynaecological practice relates to the decrease in libido and how this is associated to not knowing what it feels like to experience an orgasm.

On close examination, some women discover that their clitoris is covered by a kind of foreskin (clitoral hood). The treatment of this type of clitoral exposure has become increasingly popular as it allows for greater contact during intercourse.

The procedure is aimed at restoring the functionality and appearance of the clitoris to its normal size and position.

The Fotona laser works by removing the excess skin and tissue around the clitoris, reducing the clitoral hood, which subsequently allows for greater pleasure and comfort. On occasion, a small reconstruction of the area is also performed.
