TREATMENTS

Symptoms of Menopause

Symptoms characterised by vaginal dryness, itching, loss of elasticity, pain associated with sexual intercourse, involuntary urine leakage and recurrent vaginal infections.

The gynaecological laser combat such symptomatology.

- 3-6 sessions
- 20-40 minutes/session

Vulvar lichen sclerosus

Vulvar lichen sclerosus is a pathology that affects the female genitalia, causing itching and stinging. The fragility of the skin and loss of elasticity favours the appearance of fissures and bleeding during sexual intercourse, which are often painful.

However, laser treatment in combination with techniques such as PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) has led to a significant improvement in the quality of life of patients.

- MINIMUM 3 sessions
- 40-60 minutes/session

Vaginal Dryness/Atrophy

It is a nuisance associated with hormonal changes during menopause, the use of contraceptives and other drugs or treatments used in cancer therapy (radiation, chemotherapy).

This sign involves a loss of elasticity associated with a narrowing of the vagina that makes sexual intercourse difficult and impossible. Laser therapy manages to promote hydration and elasticity of the vagina.

- 3-6 sessions
- 20-40 minutes/session

Urinary Incontinence

It aims to prevent involuntary urine leakage that occurs during everyday activities such as coughing, laughing, lifting heavy objects or physical exercise.

The heat provided by the gynaecological laser stimulates the production of collagen, contributing to the strengthening of the anterior wall, thereby correcting urethral position and mobility.

- 3-6 sessions
- 40-60 minutes/session

Vaginal Tightening (Hyperlaxity)

Vaginal hyperlaxity syndrome is known as the relaxation or loss of tension of the vaginal walls, which causes the sensation of a wide vagina, resulting in decreased sensitivity during sexual intercourse.

Gynaecological laser treatment applies thermal energy that stimulates the production of collagen, which has a tightening effect on the walls of the vagina.

- 3-6 sessions
- 20-40 minutes/session

Recurrent candidiasis

Candidiasis is an infection caused by a fungus called Candida, which normally lives in small amounts in our bodies, in places like the vagina, without causing problems. However, when something upsets the balance of our system, such as a weakened immune system, the use of antibiotics, or a warm, moist environment, this fungus can overgrow and cause an infection. Some of the most common symptoms are: itching, redness, pain during urination or intercourse, and thick white discharge.

The effect of the vaginal laser favours the regeneration of the vaginal mucosa with the consequent restoration of the vaginal flora and a change in the vaginal pH that will reinforce the local defence mechanisms with the consequent relief of symptoms.

Condylomata Acuminata

It is an infectious-contagious disease that is caused by the papillomavirus acquired by sexual contact. They appear as small warts, with a red, pink or white, crow-crested, jagged surface.

They are generally located in the vulvar fork, labia, perianal area and frequently affect the urethra, vagina and uterine cervix.
